Richard Mulcaster

Safety Consultant B.Sc (Hons), Tech IOSH

Richard is an events and safety management specialist.  During a 17 year career in the events industry, so far he has gained extensive experience in working on client side event safety operations at many UK racecourses, sports venues and large scale multi-games organising committees, both in the UK and North America.  More recently, Richard has held a senior managerial role with a UK based Events Services provider, where his main responsibilities were to develop and install class leading event safety procedures for contracted operations, training for frontline staff, corporate wide Quality Management Systems encompassing many accredited standards and internal quality audits, and board level health and safety management.

Richard works consistently to achieve results and has a ‘can do’ attitude to finding the right solution for clients’ best interests.

Outside of work, Richard has 2 children and enjoys an active and busy outdoor family life with his wife Sally.  In addition to trying to stay fit, most outdoor sports feature (or have done!) somewhere along the way.

Richard has had an extensive equestrian career, competing and leading teams at numerous Pony Club championships, including the British team at International level, competing at BHS Eventing, being a work jockey for a NH racing yard and even having a go at amateur racing.  These days however, the horse focus is more on ponies, and about helping his children to understand and develop their own equestrian skills.
